OpenAI has announced the return of Sam Altman as CEO

 OpenAI has announced the return of Sam Altman as CEO, just days after his departure, alongside an agreement to partially reconstitute the board of directors that initially dismissed him.



The restructured board will now include prominent figures like Bret Taylor, former co-CEO of Salesforce, Larry Summers, former U.S. Treasury Secretary, and Adam D'Angelo, CEO of Quora.

Bret Taylor, at 43, is an American computer programmer and entrepreneur, also serving on the board of Shopify. He takes on the role of chairing the OpenAI board.

Larry Summers, a 68-year-old American economist and former US Treasury Secretary, holds a professorship at Charles W Eliot University and is President Emeritus at Harvard. Summers is also affiliated with the boards of Jack Dorsey's Block Inc. and Skillsoft Corp.

Adam D'Angelo, aged 39, is an American internet entrepreneur, renowned as the founder of Quora. With a background in Computer Science, D'Angelo previously served as the CTO of Facebook.
